Milk Glass

Today we pay tribute to a piece of glassware that every true Southern gal should own—Milk Glass.

Fun fact: Did you know that the history of these timeless beauties dates back to Venice in the 16th century?! I love southern things that reveal deep ties to old European culture.

Is it green? Is it blue?
Not sure, but I do know
that
I'm in love.

LOVE the colored milk glass.
The closest thing to
Heaven on Earth
might be a shop full of milk glass cake stands
like Bountiful in Venice, CA.

Come on, now.
Has there ever been a more perfect combination
than delicate blue hydrangeas
resting in creamy milk glass?

Perfect for displaying vibrant
wedding flowers
or gifting to your favorite Southern gal
to say, "Hey...I like you."

Loving this blue shelf.
It's the perfect home
for beautiful milk glass,
a few pink garden roses
and a great vintage doily.

Oh milk glass, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

Mason Jars

We are in the throes of summer here in Nashville, and what better time to pay tribute to our friend the Mason jar. I'm pretty sure this is every Southern girl's favorite piece of glassware.

Mason jars are showing up in so many Southern weddings,
and it's no wonder--they are a beautiful addition to decor!

They are the perfect multi-purpose vessel.

Beautiful as vases on a windowsill

what I wouldn't give to fill this
with a fresh summer limeaid
or, let's be honest--a minty mojito

LOVE this.
Mounted Mason jars to store all kinds of goodies!

I dream of giving new life to an old wooden coke crate
and filling it with jars
that hold little treasures

Have you given new life to an old Mason jar? What fun ways have you used one lately?
